And then I wised up to what writers block really is. Its a myth, created by writers who know they should be writing but who simply dont want to put in the work. Theyd rather walk the dog, watch a movie, or play a game than write. They simply cant admit that they dont want to write because its hard work or because they simply arent that dedicated to the occupation. Its easier and more face saving to invent this mythical condition that afflicts only the gifted and artistic. In what other field do you hear of some kind of block? Outside of other artistic pursuits like painting or sculpting, you dont. You never hear about a brain surgeon who stands in front of an open skull and says, I cant operate today because I have surgeons block. You dont hear about a mechanic who stands in front of an open hood and says, You know, I have mechanics block and cant do this right now. You never see the great athlete who gets to the Olympics and says, I cant run today because I have runners block. Nope. In almost every other occupation and pursuit people just get on with the work. They do what they have to do because it is their job, or because their dream is on the line. If you think of writing as your job (even if its a hobby), youll never have writers block. You will always find something to write. If one project isnt firing for you, you start another one or work on another existing project. If you are having trouble getting into the groove, you do some free writing until you get there. Or, you write something even if its horrible just to get the words flowing, knowing that everything can be fixed and that your job is to move this project forward. If you cant think of your writing as a job to be done no matter how your delicate artistic temperament is feeling that day, then you need to find another occupation. Writers block is defined as, The condition of being unable to think of what to write or how to proceed with writing. This should never be a problem for a writer. You should always be able to write something. Maybe its not perfect (or even good) and maybe its got nothing to do with your primary project. But each time you sit down to write, you should be able to think of something to write, or some way to proceed. If you dont, its not because you have some terrible disease called writers block. Its because you have one of the following afflictions: Laziness You dont want to work this hard You dont want it (success, publication, money, etc.) enough You dont like writing all that much and should probably find another hobby or occupation Something else is simply more important to you The project youre working on isnt for you (too difficult, not your specialty, its irredeemably bad, etc.) and its time to ditch it and start something else. Lack of confidence in your ability Fear Lack of ability Whatever ails you can be solved. You can dump a bad project. You can deal with your fear. You can do the work to become a better writer. You can decide writing isnt for you and go out and become a wrestler, instead. You dont have a disease, you have a problem that needs to be solved. If you solve the problem and approach writing as a professional, youll never say, I have writers block again. The day I began to see writing as my job, even if I wasnt getting paid for it just yet, the writers block disappeared. I knew I had to work at writing, just like I would have to work at any other occupation. There is no exemption because Im in an artistic field. Theres no excuse for not doing the work, short of illness or some sort of catastrophe. Just like any employer would expect me to get the work done no matter what, I now expect the same for myself. Now that Ive adopted that attitude, I can always find something to write or some project to work on. Writers block is for divas who believe that writing is some mystical gift governed by a muse who either appears for you or doesnt. Consolidation of smaller companies into bigger ones enabled some very large corporations to escape market discipline by fixing prices or undercutting competitors. Reformers argued that these practices ultimately saddled consumers with higher prices or restricted choices. The Sherman Antitrust Act, passed in 1890, declared that no person or business could monopolize trade or could combine or conspire with someone else to restrict trade. In the early 1900s, the government used the act to break up John D. Rockefellers Standard Oil Company and several other large firms that it said had abused their economic power. In 1914, Congress passed two more laws designed to bolster the Sherman Antitrust Act: the Clayton Antitrust Act and the Federal Trade Commission Act. The Clayton Antitrust Act defined more clearly what constituted illegal restraint of trade. The act outlawed price discrimination that gave certain buyers an advantage over others; forbade agreements in which manufacturers sell only to dealers who agree not to sell a rival manufacturers products; and prohibited some types of mergers and other acts that could decrease competition. The Federal Trade Commission Act established a government commission aimed at preventing unfair and anti-competitive business practices. Critics believed that even these new anti-monopoly tools were not fully effective. In 1912, the United States Steel Corporation, which controlled more than half of all the steel production in the United States, was accused of being a monopoly. Legal action against the corporation dragged on until 1920 when, in a landmark decision, the Supreme Court ruled that U.S. Steel was not a monopoly because it did not engage in unreasonable restraint of trade. The court drew a careful distinction between bigness and monopoly and suggested that corporate bigness is not necessarily bad.​​ Experts Note: Â  Generally speaking, the federal government in the United States has a number of options at its disposal in order to regulate monopolies. So here we see a vicious circle of all these people needing money for one reason or another, they spend what they have, apply for grants from the federal government, the federal government says hey ok but in the end, what do we do when the federal government runs out of money?   What do states do when there is no money left to be tapped?   Do they droll at another department because that department may have the monies to continue further? Let us start with the liquor tax.   Currently the taxation goes like this; the federal government gets approximately 10% of each gallon depending on the proof or volume manufactured (each state seems to vary) of the alcohol.   The higher the proof, the more the taxes they receive.   The state on the other hand receives a much higher revenue from the tax (State Liquor Tax Rates-2008).   Each state has different programs in which the taxes collected helps finance.   The federal government should take only a specified amount, a flat tax from each state for both alcohol and tobacco and keep tally on which states they obtain these taxes from and how  much.   When these individual states run out of their own taxed revenue then when they apply for a grant, the grant acceptance and money distribution is then taken from the coffers of the federal government based upon the taxes already received into the hands of the federal government.   This keeps those federal tax dollars fo cused in one area instead of spread all over the board.   If states run out of money from the federal government through this specified mean then the balloting of measures asking for the public in general to vote on a new tax for this reason, should be implemented. The effects of globalisation on education bring rapid developments in technology and communications are foreseeing changes within learning systems across the world as ideas, values and knowledge, changing the roles of students and teachers, and producing a shift in society from industrialisation towards an information-based society. In the research paper an effort is made to highlight the positive and negative implications of Globalisation on education and also remedies to the challenges faced by it. On moving towards its positive aspects it is evident that due to globalization there is explosion of knowledge. This is a degradation in the values of Indian education system which has the glory of ‘Vishw Guru’ and where the concept of gurukul and teacher-student relationship exists but today that respect of student towards teacher and even the dedication and care of teacher towards student is missing. Along with all these, the increase craze of medical, engineering and business administration and downfall in plain courses of science, commerce and arts has only resulted in many doctors ,engineers and MBA students not recognized and no longer produces efficient and honest administrators which is a die-heart need in country like India which is in the grip of cancerous corruption.
